Short Courses at Feng-Chia University

 
 
icon If one of the following fits your situation, you are not entitled to apply as a foreign non-degree student:
  1. You have overseas Chinese status, or have applied for admission as an overseas Chinese at any university in the Republic of China.
  2. You hold Hong Kong or Macau citizenship.
  3. You hold People's Republic of China citizenship.
  4. You hold R.O.C. citizenship (according to Article 2 of the Law of Nationality).
  5. You held R.O.C. citizenship, and renounced it less than 8 years prior to the time of intended admission.

Note:
Article 2 of the Law of Nationality:
A person who meets one of the following requirements is considered a citizen of the Republic of China:

  1. A person whose father or mother is, at the time of his (her) birth, a citizen of the Republic of China. *For R.O.C. mother only, this applies only to those born on or after February 9, 1980).
  2. A person born after the death of his (her) father or mother who was, at the time of his (her) death, a citizen of the Republic of China.
  3. A person born in the territory of the Republic of China and whose parents are both unknown or are stateless.
  4. A naturalized person.
The provisions specified in sub-paragraphs 1 and 2 of the preceding Paragraph shall apply to minor children on the date of the promulgation of the amendment of this Law.

iconAlready residing in Taiwan and holding an R.O.C. alien resident certificate (ARC), which is valid through June 30, 2008. Enrollment as a non-degree student does not quality as a valid reason for obtaining a resident visa.

Enrollment:
Once a year in September. The application deadline and requirements are the same as those for degree students
Tuition fees:
Non-degree students pay tuition fees according to the number of credits taken.
